Hey guys! For this blog post, I’m going to be telling you about our field trip to Universal Studios! It was such an awesome day. We started off by getting to school at 8am, and we hung out there for a while until the buses came. We loaded up, and headed to Universal. The drive was about an hour and a half. We got off the bus, grabbed our tickets and walked through the gates. Our teachers told us to be back at 5:45pm and they let us go until then. We all spread out with our own friend groups. The first thing me and my friends went to was the mummy ride. The wait for the ride was about an hour, it was way too long, but the ride was super fun and worth the wait, even though it was only a minute or so. By then it was about 11am, me and my two girlfriends went and got cold refreshing drinks because it was extremely hot out. Then, we met up with our guy friends and went to get in line for the harry potter ride. On our way to the ride you have to walk through the harry potter town area, its super cool because it looks exactly like the towns in the movies, there’s fake snow on the tops of the mountains, buildings that are very accurate to the movies, and even characters walking around the town. We split up with our friends because only half of us wanted to go on the harry potter ride because the line was too long, it was an hour and a half. Me and a few other  people got in line because the ride looked super fun. We played heads up, games, made jokes, and just tried to kill time. We finally got to the ride, it was crazy! Almost the entire ride was in 3D, everything would pop out at you, like mummys and spiders. It was scary at some points, but it felt so real. After that ride, we went and got lunch, it was probably around 1pm and everyone was getting lunch at this time so we got to meet up with different people and say hi. After lunch, we went on the tram. That was definitely my favorite part, we got to go around the whole campus, we saw the different sets that were being used at the moment for movies or tv shows that were coming out. We got to go through little scenes of movies to make it feel like we were in the movie, it was insane to see all of the props, set ups, and cameras, and everything I just loved to see behind the scenes. We saw sets that were used in famous movies and shows, they would put the scene of the movie up on the tram so we could see what the set is from. After the tram, I split up with some of my friends because they wanted to go on the harry potter ride again, but I didn’t feel like it so I met up with my other friends and got food. We walked around and saw the whole Despicable Me area. It was so crazy to see because it looked exactly like the movies, I felt like I was walking through the movie. After that, it was about 5:45pm so we walked back to the bus and everyone loaded on. I had such a great day! It was really eventful, we had fun going on rides, we learned a ton about movie making and behind the scenes, and we got closer to our peers. I am super grateful we had the chance to do that field trip and I hope we get to do something like that again!! See you guys on my next post 🙂
