Hi guys!! This blog post I am going to tell you a little bit about my weekend. I LOVE long weekends it gives us a nice extra day or two to relax and sleep in. This past weekend my family and I drove to Tahoe and went skiing for a couple days. We started our trip off by waking up at 5am and beginning our long road trip. It was my mom, my dad, my older sister Fiona and then we picked up my oldest sister Mackenzie at Santa Clara University. The drive to SCU was about 6 hours, we stopped for about an hour there to get lunch in her dining hall. Then we loaded up the car again and set off for the other half of the road trip. We made one more stop on the way to Tahoe at a market called Ikeda, it’s a little market with amazing food and it’s known for their incredible homemade pies. Anytime we drive past that area our family always stops there. The rest of the trip was about 3 hours. We got to the place we were staying, it was called the Old Greenwood, it’s basically a hotel but full of cabins. We checked in and drove to our cabin. It was awesome! We settled in, unpacked our stuff, and then we made some pasta that we picked up at Ikeda. Since we were all so exhausted from the early morning and long car ride we went to bed pretty early. We all slept in the next morning and had a nice relaxing morning. We ate breakfast and left the house a little after 1pm. We drove to a place just 20 minutes out of where we were staying and went sledding. It was so much fun! My mom and sisters went, my dad just got a hip replacement surgery so he couldn’t, but we still had a ton of fun! After a couple hours of sledding we went home made really good mexican bowls, and had a fun family evening. We played pool, card games, and listened to music. After a fun day and night, we went to bed and woke up around 7am. We ate breakfast and left around 8:30am. My dad dropped us off at Northstar where we rented ski’s and the equipment and we skied ALL day long. We went from 10am to 4pm. My legs were extremely sore after that big workout. It was great skiing, beautiful snow, and perfect sunny warm weather. We had so much fun and great family time, we can’t wait for another four day weekend like that one!!
